Remembering your driver’s name when you hail a rideshare could soon become a thing of the past. At least if all goes to plan for San Francisco-based Lyft, which plans to start rolling out autonomous vehicles on its platform as early as next year.

Lyft CEO David Risher said in an X post that the rideshare giant will roll out autonomous rides in Dallas as soon as 2026.

New Atlas reports that the company aims to make self-driving rides available some time in 2026. Lyft is partnering with Marubeni Corporation, a general trading company headquarter
