The Bears hope to measure receiver Luther Burden III’s absence in days, not weeks, as he recovers from a hamstring injury suffered during OTAs.

"Head coach Ben Johnson told reporters on Thursday morning that receiver Luther Burden is still dealing with a soft-tissue injury that has lingered from the offseason program and will not practice," writes Pro Football Talk's Myles Simmons. "But Johnson added he’s hopeful that Burden will be sidelined for just a few days."

Chicago Bears second-round pick Luther Burden III has agreed to terms on his rookie contract. Burden was the final Bears draft pick who had yet to reach a deal.
