LOUISVILLE, Ky. (TNND) — Three people were shot and killed outside a Louisville motor vehicle office Friday, according to police. Louisville Metro Police Department said they responded to the DMV around noon and found one man dead and two women wounded. The women were transported to a local hospital where they died.

Maj. Donald Boeckman said in a news conference that the shooter fled the scene in a vehicle before officers arrived but officials don't believe there is a threat to the public at this time.

Louisville police are investigating a shooting that left three people dead on Friday. Officers were called around noon to the scene of the shooting, the parking lot outside a regional driver’s licensing office in the Valley Station neighborhood. They encountered a dead man on arrival.
