Now Lando Norris is hoping to make it a hat-trick of wet weather wins for the year after claiming pole position at a Spa circuit which is braced for its traditional race-day monsoon.

Oscar Piastri won a rain-affected Belgian Grand Prix to extend his lead at the top of the drivers’ standings to 16 points over McLaren teammate Lando Norris, who finished second after starting on pole.

It was another bad day for Lewis Hamilton who failed to make it out of Q1 after having his lap time deleted, having struggled in the sprint race. Kimi Antonelli is having comfortably his worst weekend in F1 too. Out in SQ1 and failed to make much progress in the race he qualified 18th for the main race. Something is not right there.
