The North Andover police officer who was shot​ by a member of her own department as she was served with a restraining order is facing criminal charges.

An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a police car was rammed following a ram-raid on a Co-op store.

The agency did not provide further information about the altercation.
