Saddled with a five-game (0-4-1) winless streak and headed into a two-week break in their game schedule, the Flyers had to have Saturday night’s game against the Pittsburgh Penguins in the worst way. Although their offense continued to struggle, the Flyers found a way and came away with a 3-2 win at the Wells Fargo Center.

In a game that was anything but pretty, the Philadelphia Flyers found a way to secure a hard-fought 3-2 win against the Pittsburgh Penguins, snapping a five-game losing streak and heading into the 4-Nations break on a much-needed high note.

Speaking to reporters on Friday, John Tortorella said he wasn’t worried about the Flyers getting up to play their last game before the 4 Nations Face-Off break. After all, the team was on a five-game losing streak and had lost seven of the past eight.
