The snow should then quickly make an exit after 9am, leading to a drier afternoon, with improved driving conditions. Total snow accumulations of 2-5″ can be expected for areas under the advisory, while within the heaviest band, isolated 6″ amounts will be possible.

First Alert Weather Day begins at midnight Monday and will continue throughout the morning hours, as moderate snowfall and wintry precipitation wreaks havoc on road conditions between 4 a.m. and 8 a.m.

We’re watching a cool airmass dropping down from Canada that will send waves of showers inland through the middle of the week. Some showers may turn into light snow in the lowlands during the coldest parts of the day.
