The 3-point attack helped to offset a season-worst 17 turnovers for the Cougars, who ended up averaging an efficient 1.08 points per possession while piling up 22 team assists. Additionally, BYU scored 28 paint points, held UCF to 37.1% shooting from the field and won the rebounding battle by a 40-34 margin.

The Knights couldn’t overcome being without three players, including leading scorer Keyshawn Hall, who was in early foul trouble.

The BYU men’s basketball team is starting to figure out what to do in crunch time. The Cougars were in tight contest in Orlando on Saturday, tied with UCF at 65 as the clock neared the four-minute mark.

BYU came up with one of its biggest wins of the season in a 81-75 victory over UCF Saturday in Orlando. After faltering late in previous road losses at TCU and Utah, BYU played some of its best ball in the final 5 minutes of the game to outplay UCF and their talented individual scorers down the stretch.
