(Gray News) - Broccoli sold at Walmart is recalled in 20 states after being labeled deadly by the FDA. In a notice published on Jan. 27, the FDA upgraded its current classification of Marketside Broccoli Florets to Class 1, which is the most severe type of recall.
Potentially deadly broccoli recall impacts 20 states, including Texas
Now, that same product is at an even greater risk of causing harm. Roughly 5,900 bags of broccoli across 20 states are impacted by the updated status of the recall, according to the FDA. Such states include Washington, Arkansas, California, Colorado and Wyoming, to name a few.

All potentially affected products are past their expiration date and no longer for sale, but the company is worried consumers may still have some bags in their freezers.
