Superman Returns' star Brandon Routh said that he "really enjoyed" watching James Gunn and David Corenswet's new movie 'Superman,' the second time that Warner Bros. has rebooted the character since Routh played him once on the big screen in the 2006 blockbuster.

While “Superman Returns” disappointed at the box office and with critics, Routh has never soured on DC. Over the years, he’s appeared in several adaptations of its comic book IP in a variety of roles.

James Gunn‘s Superman reboot starring David Corenswet just received some major praise from a former Man of Steel. In 2006, Brandon Routh succeeded Christopher Reeve as Clark Kent/Superman with Superman Returns serving as a homage sequel to Reeve’s quadrilogy of films.
