During the same practice, new Dolphins cornerback and former Steelers first-round pick Artie Burns left practice on crutches, and per ESPN's Adam Schefter, an MRI confirmed Burns sustained a torn ACL.

The Dolphins re-signed cornerback Cornell Armstrong, who last played for them in 2018. Armstrong has appeared in 40 career NFL games, having also played for Houston and Atlanta. He has 43 tackles and seven passes defensed. Last season, he was on Las Vegas’ practice squad.

Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, an MRI has confirmed that Burns suffered a torn ACL and will be out for the 2025 season. Burns, 30, signed a one-year deal with the Dolphins in March. The veteran corner has 90 games of experience with 39 starts for Pittsburgh, Chicago, and Seattle. He appeared in just four games for the Seahawks last year.
