The Buttes is an unincorporated community in Albany County, Wyoming, United States. The population was 31 at the 2000 census, when it was a census-designated place. According to the United States Census Bureau, in 2000 the CDP has a total area of 4.0 square miles, of which 3.9 square miles is land and 0.04 square mile is water.
