For our last two nights on the South Island we need to know if Christchurch top 10 or Akaroa is for us. Family of four, 2 adults 2 children. We would enjoy walking to restaurants or cafes and seeing the sights by foot ... friends (without kids) loved the quaint town of Akaroa but perhaps that is not the place for us... any suggestions ?

I would recommend Christchurch. Akaroa is really beautiful and worth a visit but is quite a drive to get to and after (I presume) much driving around the south island, it is nice not to have …

I would recommend Christchurch. Akaroa is really beautiful and worth a visit but is quite a drive to get to and after (I presume) much driving around the south island, it is nice not to have to do any extra. There is more for kids to do in Christchurch and the top 10 holiday park there caters very well for families.

Sorry I don`t know for sure, but the pool will certainly be free and I would also be surprised if there`s a charge for the bikes

Sorry but I cannot answer your question because we always travel by car. Not as far as I know but he Top 10 people should be able to answer your question.

Sorry I cant answer as I have never used other than cabin accomodation but my guess is booking is ALWAYS best - they are a very busy camp
