A brilliant day out. First the 15 journey up on a cable car and then a 50 minute ride on the Little Train. You can buy a ticket that covers both of these from the Cable Car ticket office next to th…Full review by KevinBowlesUK

The road from Laruns is the main road to Spain and across the Pyrenees. It is with oncoming traffic, one lane each way, and has many twists and turns. You also have a good elevation gain. There are trucks on it which makes you sometimes want to tuck your belly in or hold your breath (that's what we do and then we laugh about it). There are often cyclists on the road as well. Going up or down feels like a (safe) adventure, just like the train. The locals seem to be always in a hurry, ignore them. As a tourist, leave early enough and take it easy, go at a speed with which you are comfortable, enjoy the beautiful scenery, and stop from time to time to take pictures. It is a day trip don't rush it!
