The slopes were well maintained, and even on a weekend they were not crowded. It is not for beginners, though! If this is your first or second ski holiday, you might need to take few lessons on the … Full review by szolandi

Great ski area, if you like looking at “Closed Piste” signs! Vulnerable to bad weather and a bit too keen to shut lifts. The bits that were open, had great pistes. I've been skiing since the age of … Full review by chonkyseal01

Hi, Availability of rooms is usually quite good up till about September. Some families return to the same place and book a year ahead. Lift passes are available on the day - many shops, hotels and the lifts themselves sell them on the spot. It is worth booking skis direct with the shop, including your ability/ weight etc. The shop should then have the right equipment ready for you. Don’t use a broker / booking agent on the skis - you end up in the queue with the first-timers, which can be hours in Soll!!!

Hi! My husband and I will be spending 3 days visiting SkiWelt. This will be out first time skiing (we live in Florida). I have a few questions? 1 - Where can we rent ski jackets, boots, masks etc? 2 - Is there a place where we can go to learn the basics - like a ski class? 3 - I see there are 134Km of easy runs - are they suitable for first timers like me and my husband? Thank you!!!

there's a few real good equipment hire shops and 2 of them are up near the bottom gondola station. you can also store your skis here at the end of each day. absolute beginners find their feet on a beginner slope at the bottom of the gondola and then up to the mid station Where's there's some lovely blues to help you improve. the ski schools here are very good. go to the skiwelt Web page for info on classes and equipment hire! and enjoy the great Austrian hospitality!!

have been to skiwelt for 5 years running in Feb and snow never been an issue. some years more than others but 90% of pistes have great canon coverage guaranteeing very good conditions but to be honest apart from a south facing run into brixem which can get slushy, the rest are great. and lucky for you this year has had great snow and low temperatures so conditions perfect! going myself at end of Feb! enjoy your holiday
