Peace is known for its warm, inviting, casual atmosphere with fun and engaging programs for children and teens. Song, dance, and drama are used to create an engaging worship experience. The sermons are life application, biblically based teachings that are oftentimes illustrated through impromptu demonstrations and skits. The worship service is typically no more than 75 minutes. Peace Baptist Church was founded February 7, 1993, in the home of Pastor Tyrone Barnette and his wife, Tabitha, with fourteen (14) adult members. Since that time, the church has grown with over 1,200 in weekly attendance. Peace strives to maintain a small family feel with small groups and activities.
