When do they do night tours of prison.

Follow Big River Paranormal on Facebook or go to our website. We go investigate public investigations throughout the year actually, we don't just investigate during October.

The grounds would be mostly accessible but many of the buildings have steps w/o ramps. even on the grounds, there are some minor steps and i'm not sure if there is a workaround for them. you might want to contact the historical society that 'runs' the site and ask them directly. they have a good web site - travelocity doesn't allow me to post a web link but it should be very easy to find online.

Angie, I agree with Jane. You have the option of both self-guided and guided tour options. We did the self-guided, and it took us a solid 90 minutes. The guided tour is around two hours. A guided tour had begun just as we started our self-guided tour, and was still going as we left. We overheard some of the guided tour, and there are many interesting stories related that we wouldn't have gotten from our self-guided tour. Either way, if you have some time to kill in Boise, the Penitentiary is a worth while stop.
