The park (like most if not all parks in Jackson) didn’t allow dogs, so we got photos in front of the antler arches and left. Touristy and crowded. Full review by TravelinFools66

Nice town to visit and walk around, but beware this is a busy area with lots of traffic to maneuver before you get into Jackson Town Square. Place seemed safe. Clean. There are many stores around the… Full review by CollAuthor

The square is pretty iconic. Everyone takes pictures there. And the town radiates around it. It’s also very pretty and a place to sit and enjoy the mountain air. Full review by Flyingboy58
Is it a pet friendly area? Can we walk our dog inTown Square?

That’s a big fat “no.” There are signs saying it will be enforced, but people were walking their dogs in there. The whole town is very dog “unfriendly.”
Is there some nice bars where girls can go by themselves and be safe? Live music somewhere?

I recommend the Million dollar cowboy bar. Nice atmosphere, pool tables, good music, beer and food. Don`t forget your ID. Downstairs there is a high end steakhouse

We went the first full week of September following the Labor Day weekend, and the weather was fabulous...moderate to warm during the day, while cool in the evening. I would imagine that going the first week of October would be cooler during the day, and probably noticeably cooler in the evening...I would bring clothing layers, so you can put em on first thing in the morning, then start to peel 'em off as the day warms up, then put 'em back on as the day cools down...that's what we did and was a great strategy. You should perhaps start seeing some color change in the foliage which would be great...and you will likely not have any issues with the tourist traffic in October which you will greatly appreciate as well. Have fun !!!

It depends how far u want to go including the budget before suggesting any place. World is full of surprices. And ofcource the interest of the family in enjoying like nature, sports, artitecture , culture, adventure, meditation, trekking, beaches, historical , etc etc. Spending together itself is fun irespective of the place. Colardospring itself is said to be a lovely place.
