Hi Les, We had a Stockholm pass which you can buy online ahead of arriving. This meant the boat trip to the palace was free, but you have to book on the boat on the day and it does get quite busy so I would recommend turning up early. You book at the ticket office which is opposite the City Hall. We went on a Saturday and arrived at 10:00 and were booked on the boat at 12:00. The journey time to the Palace is 1 hour so if you can I would recommend going earlier to give time to explore the gardens too, as after 15:00 the boat back is only every hour and gets very busy. Hope that helps, Charlotte
Q:
Can you visit the gardens earlier than 10a ?
A:
Yes, the grounds are open prior to the Palace opening. We arrived about an hour earlier and walked around the grounds.
